Our founder
Erik Nielsen founded Biosa in 2002. His passion for fermentation and microorganisms began in 1994 when he became acquainted with the pervasive properties of microorganisms. He quickly became very enthusiastic and convinced of the effectiveness of microorganisms.
Erik's passion and perseverance became Biosa, and today we produce products for people, animals, and agriculture, which are sold in more than 30 countries worldwide.
Before Biosa
In the mid-1980s, he traded a bustling business life to establish himself as a biodynamic farmer, and it was his quest for sustainable technologies for organic farming that led him to research and experiment with fermentation and the impact of microorganisms on plant growth, as well as the health of animals and humans. "I could see that microorganisms brought new life in an effective and sustainable way, so I set out to learn more about them. The goal was to develop products with microorganisms that were both organic, effective, and sustainable
I was fascinated by the fact that the growth and strength of plants could be significantly increased by adding microorganisms to the soil
