Rosemary
(Rosmarinus officinalis)

Rosemary grows in the Mediterranean countries, on the Crimean Peninsula, Caucasus and Mexico. It is valued for its flavor, but also for its medicinal properties. It contains trichoroethylene terpinenes, tannins, flavonoids, rosmarinicin, phenolic acids and a variety of antioxidants that fight free radicals and protect cells against aging. Rosemary eases cramps and indigestion, strengthens the liver, is anti-bacterial and is generally stimulating. Furthermore, it is used as remedy for pains in the digestive tract, colic, headache, reduced liver function, constipation, bronchitis, coughing, asthmatic cramps, high blood pressure and it is anti-spastic and anti-microbial.
